Biographies

A member of the Ordre des architectes and holder of a Master’s degree in Project Management, Caroline Bourgeois has been with the organization for over 25 years. She has held numerous roles, including Project Director, Director of Expertise and Development, and Director General of Eastern Project Management. From 2016 to 2022, she served as Vice President, Project Management – Eastern Québec. She has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) since April 2022.

Before beginning her career at SQI, Ms. Bourgeois worked in the private sector, notably as a partner in an architectural firm.

 

Joëlle Brodeur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal and Political Sciences, a Master’s degree in Project Management, and an Executive MBA from ESG UQAM. She worked as a project manager in institutional environments from 2010 to 2016 before joining the Parc olympique in 2017.

 

Closely associated with the development of the Project Management Office she created and led, she leveraged her expertise in portfolio management and her deep knowledge of public infrastructure investment environments. From 2022 to 2024, she oversaw all asset management and modernization activities for the public urban park as Vice President, Infrastructure and Project Management. Appointed President and CEO in July 2024, she is responsible for the strategic repositioning of the Parc olympique and is leading a major commercial, physical, and technological transformation.

 

Two projects that shaped her career received the PMI Montréal Chapter’s Élixir Award in the Project of the Year category in 2017 and 2019, and were also international finalists in 2020. Her personal engagement and contribution earned her recognition as a finalist for the 2021 Élixir Award in the Professional of the Year category.

 

As Vice President, Project Management Office and Investment Portfolio, Valérie Haineault leads a team of 800 professionals working from strategy through execution.

 

A passionate, results-oriented leader with extensive experience in performance management, strategy, architecture, portfolio and project management, and risk management, Ms. Haineault emphasizes collaboration and the mobilization of talent to achieve objectives. Driven by organizational efficiency, rigor, and continuous evolution, she ensures she remains relevant and consistently demonstrates value.

She is a member of the CPA Order and holds an MBA. With more than 25 years of experience in major banking and insurance institutions—three of which were primarily dedicated to project management—she brings deep executive expertise. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), where she chairs the Audit Committee.

 

Valérie Haineault is also committed to giving back to the community as an ambassador for Fillactive, an organization whose mission is to encourage teenage girls to stay active for life.
