Annie Bernard tackles a wide range of complex issues, most notably in the construction industry and class action suits. Her clients come from every sector of the industry and include owners, general entrepreneurs, subcontractors and suppliers. They rely on her expertise pertaining to funding, faults in design, project management, professional responsibility and breach of contract.

She also has developed expertise concerning legal construction mortgages, calls for offers, as well as terms surrounding licencing issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. She also prepares and proofreads contractual documentation, notably CCDC documents, as well as security deposit and co-ownership documents.

She has defended many class action cases and is currently involved in a suit resulting from the ice storm of 1998.

Aïda Mezouar joined her firm’s commercial litigation branch after having completed her internship there in June 2015.

She has a joint degree in civil and common law from McGill University, as well as a certificate in Chinese law from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.

During her studies, Mezouar actively worked toward the creation of the first mediation clinic on the McGill campus. She then interned for six months at a legal aid office for the UN’s development program in New York.
