The Value and Values of Organizational Agility: why, what and how?

The emergence of Agile Project Management at the turn of the century was only a first manifestation of a worldwide socio-economic phenomenon affecting all domains and activities of organisational life, in the private as well as in the public sectors. The business environment in which we all evolve, since the beginning of this 21st century, is getting more and more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA), mainly because of continuous accelerating change occurring everywhere on the planet. In order to succeed and prosper in such an environment, all experts are telling us that our organisations have to become more agile.

But «being more agile», what does is really means? and what does it imply and require exactly?

Claude Émond, MEng, MBA, CD, rmc, PMP   Principal Partner, coach and trainer in organisational agility for Quali-Scope Inc, Montréal, Canada. An internationally recognized expert in project management, change management and organisational agility, Claude Emond has more than 35 years of experience in managing, training and coaching on major projects and organisational transformations, namely for large governmental agencies and private companies in Canada, the USA, Europe, Morocco and South-East Asia. He teaches Lean/Agile management-by-project in many project management certification programs, namely for 9 schools of the CESI network of schools (www.cesi.fr) in France, for their Specialized Master Degree in Management by Projects. He is one of the co-authors of the first international standard on project portfolio management (PMI's «The Standard for Portfolio Management», 1st ed., 2006). He has designed and currently leads the Agile/Lean project management workshops offered by the Quebec's Institute for Product Development (www.ipd-ipd.com). He is the creator of the «Changeboxing» methodology, which supports the agile management and accelerating of organisational changes of all types and sizes. He is one of the founding partners of the TransformAgility Group, a collective of experts supporting organisations in the implementation and emergence of high performance collaborative cultures and practices that are more agile and innovative. Charlotte Goudreault, BA (Psychopedagogy), MBA, Dip.BA (International Management), Neuro-linguistic Prograrmming Master Practitioner (CQPNL)    Principal Partner, coach and trainer in organisational agility for Quali-Scope Inc, Montréal, Canada. 

Charlotte Goudreault has more than 20 years of experience in managing projects, as well as in training and coaching project managers and other specialists, namely in Canada, France, Morocco and South-East Asia. She has taught project team building and management for the CESI network of schools in France and at Hautes Études Commerciales (University of Montréal). She has designed and currently leads the project team building and management workshops offered by the Quebec's Institute for Product Development. She specializes in change management as well as in agile/lean high performance team building, alignment and management. She is also one of the founding partners of the TransformAgility Group.
