PMI-Montreal Mentoring and Mutual Learning
Mentoring is never easy. But it could be beneficial for both mentees and mentors. Join this panel discussion with four experienced mentors. They will share their mentoring experience with all audience. Hopefully you will have better understanding after the discussion:
- What is mentoring?
- What are the best practice as mentor?
- How to benefit from mentor program?
Jean is a senior manager. Over the course of his career, he has developed over 30 years of extensive experience in project management, sales management and business analysis. He is a Pilot because he is passionate about all aspects of flight. He is also a mentor. He is pleased to accompany, listen and allow mentees to find in them the resources to achieve their personal goal.
Involved in the PMI for ten years, he constantly discovers new opportunities to contribute and grow.
Alcides has 19 years of experience in project management and, until recently, he was director of business transformation projects for Swissport, responsible for operations in North America.
A member of PMI for 18 years, he has been an active volunteer of PMI-Montreal since 2007, most recently in the role of vice-president of its board of directors. He has been part of the PMI-Montreal mentoring program several times, as a sponsored person and now as a mentor. An always enriching and always two-way learning experience, which brings her friendships that go beyond the framework of the program.
Rogerio is project management consultant with over 20 years of experience in project management. He has Master degree in project management from Université du Quebec à Montréal and a MBA by FGV in Brazil.
He is PMP, Scrum Master and PMO-Certified Consultant among others. He frequently publishes project management articles on his website: startprojectingnow.com
Martin has over 10 years of experience as a project manager and over 15 years as an IT professional. He holds a PMP certification and a master's degree in project management from ESG UQAM. He has many great experiences in supervising numerous IT projects while participating in the planning, analysis and implementation of solutions. What matters to him is being able to coordinate and direct the different stages of the projects while supporting, motivating and guiding the teams.
Passionate about travel, nature and humans, he chose to get involved in the academic program mentoring to give back to MGP, to exchange and benefit from a "fresh" vision of project management.
