In light of this, it’s essential that project leaders develop their strategic influencing skills to understand issues and satisfy the numerous stakeholders involved in their projects.
The conference/workshop will be lively and interactive, with dialogue led by a seasoned project leader and leadership practitioner Jean Martel from SNC Lavalin. Discussions will focus on implementing best practices as a project leader to assert your leadership:
- Adequately assessing a situation to make the right decisions
- Observing distribution of power and influence, independently from hierarchical power and organizational charts
- Clarifying your legitimacy and mandate
- Decoding stakeholders’ informal messages and issues
- Building complicity with key actors
- Communicating strategically

Ghislaine Clot, President, Ghislaine Clot Conseil
With a master’s in business (Paris HEC, 1984), a Master of Advanced Studies in IT management and lengthy training in the psycho-sociology of organizations under her belt, Mrs. Clot has been working as a consultant, trainer, conference speaker and coach for over 25 years for large organizations both in Quebec and France. Her fields of expertise include coaching managers and teams, strategic counselling, strategic and interpersonal communication, authenticity in management, emotional and political intelligence, deployment support for major projects, change management in complex environments, creativity and innovation.
She is passionate about supporting practical leadership development, whether through planning and hosting development activities, strategic consulting or individual or team coaching.
She puts an emphasis on simple development activities with high impact results, designed to help managers and professionals tackle daily challenges, but also to develop inspiring leadership skills.
She also teaches in the Consulting MBA Department at Toulouse Business School as well as the Management Consulting MBA at ESG-UQAM (Montreal), on group dynamics and interpersonal relationships. She has spearheaded the business-to-business program “Mieux penser pour bien influencer et agir” for three years.

Refund Policy
Virtual participation and PDU allocation
To ensure fair management of PDU allocation, virtual participants must be logged in no later than 30 minutes after the start of the event. After this time, access will no longer be authorized and no PDUs will be awarded.
Events
No refunds 5 open days or less prior to the event.
Substitution
Substitution of a participant is not permitted except for group registrations.
Cancellation
PMI-Montreal reserves the right to cancel a training program in the event of insufficient registrations. In this case, the full registration fee will be refunded.
