Description

In light of this, it’s essential that project leaders develop their strategic influencing skills to understand issues and satisfy the numerous stakeholders involved in their projects.

The conference/workshop will be lively and interactive, with dialogue led by a seasoned project leader and leadership practitioner Jean Martel from SNC Lavalin. Discussions will focus on implementing best practices as a project leader to assert your leadership:

  • Adequately assessing a situation to make the right decisions
  • Observing distribution of power and influence, independently from hierarchical power and organizational charts
  • Clarifying your legitimacy and mandate
  • Decoding stakeholders’ informal messages and issues
  • Building complicity with key actors
  • Communicating strategically
