Of course, a lot of decisions that affect projects are taken outside the scope of the projects themselves – like the ones that stem from their purpose, the ROI or their relevance to the strategic plan. But still, one must wonder, what are the forces that come in play when decisions are taken (sometimes even unconsciously) outside of the normal decision-making path of the project? We will explore the possibility that a sense of security about speaking our mind might be more important in making a decision than the set of rules that define how to make it.
