CHUM visite

In June 2011, the kickoff was given for the construction of the New CHUM project. After the start-up and planning phases that led to the awarding of a contract in PPP mode, more than 2,300 workers are currently working to finalize the many pavilions that form this mega hospital.
Health Reference in Quebec, the CHUM is preparing for an even greater future. In fall 2013, the CHUM Research Centre opened its doors to students, researchers and administrative staff. From spring 2016, a bright and welcoming hospital with a LEED Silver certification, will welcome its first patients. The new CHUM will be connected by an underground corridor to its research center and provide direct access to the Metro Champ de Mars.
The CHUM will be a cutting-edge hospital that will provide all that is best in the world on the level of care, research and teaching. A hospital which by the very nature of its design, will provide care teams and patients a warm and functional environment.
Located in the heart of the health district and close to the Palais des congrès de Montreal and the Ville-Marie, construction constraints were numerous and asked the project managers dizzying feats in terms of planning.

The visit of the construction site will allow project managers to see the scale of this major project in the Montreal region.

You need to have boots, helmet, glasses and small construction gloves. People who do not have their equipment will be denied access.
