Description

The Borealis project was an academic business trip to Scandinavia that took place 15-30 May 2015. Six project management graduates, master level, students along with Dr. Yvan Petit, the program’s director, formed the Borealis delegation. This project, funded by the PMI Academic department, was an opportunity for young professionals and professors to get involved in the international project management community. In previous years, delegations were sent to China (2013) and to Australia (2014). Eight enterprises, two embassies and two universities were visited in Oslo and Stockholm during this two-week visit. The objectives of this delegation was: (1) to develop joint research topics between ESG UQAM and Scandinavian universities, (2) acquire knowledge on Scandinavian project management practices, and (3) transfer knowledge to companies, associations and students.

Speaker : Yvan Petit, M.Eng., MBA, PhD, PMP, PfMP est professeur à l’ESG UQAM et est le directeur des programmes de deuxième cycle en gestion de projet ainsi que co-titulaire de la chaire de gestion de projet. Dr. Petit a à son actif plusieurs publications sur la gestion de portefeuille de projet don’t une monogrpahie publiée par le PMI. Il cumule plus de 25 ans d’expérience en gestion de projet, principalement en développement de logiciele et en R&D dans le domaine des télécommunications. Il est présentement membre du PMI Standards Member Advisory Group (MAG).
