25 years ago the Montreal Botanical Garden true to its mission for education and its social role of illustrating different cultural interpretations of the human - nature relationship set out to build a Chinese garden. This project was born out of a friendship and a shared passion for domesticated nature, would prove to be a unique and decisive adventure for the whole team and especially for our presenter who was then a novice project manager. Pierre Deschênes looks back on this experience and emphasizes the importance of the Sponsor's role. |
Speaker : Pierre Deschênes
Architect and planner by training, Pierre Deschênes studied in China before turning to project management. He has managed projects abroad and in Montreal including the Chinese Garden, Parc Jean-Drapeau and the Quartier des spectacles. He practices today as a consultant and heads of the Community of Practice Organizational Project Management for the PMI-Montreal.
