The Élixir Awards

For the past 19 years, PMI- Montréal has been highlighting Québec's project managers by celebrating their success.

The Élixir Awards reward the best in project management in Québec. This expertise spans all fields and industries. From project initiation to closure, every phase must be successfully executed in line with best practices.

Through the Élixir Awards, PMI-Montréal promotes excellence in project management and celebrates both individual and collective achievements across Québec.

Project of the Year (2 Awards)

The Project of the Year Award highlights, distinguishes, and celebrates outstanding performance and excellence in project management practices, regardless of the team’s field of expertise.

The subcategories are designed to ensure fairness and consistency in the evaluation process by taking into account the specific context of each project. They promote broader accessibility to participation for all organizations and ensure coherence in comparisons.

One project will be selected in each subcategory and named the 2025 winner of the following awards:

  • Project of the Year – $5 million and over

  • Project of the Year – $5 million and under

PMO of the Year

The PMO of the Year Award recognizes project management offices (PMOs), regardless of their structure or positioning within the organization, as long as they oversee project portfolios, programs, and/or projects.

Eligible PMOs must demonstrate how they have enhanced the organization’s project, program, or portfolio management maturity, or contributed to its strategic alignment.

NEW CATEGORY!

Social Impact Project of the Year

In 2025, a new category is introduced: the Social Impact Project of the Year Award.

This award recognizes a meaningful initiative that has made a significant impact within its community through the application of project management expertise and the ability to translate complex social issues into solutions integrated within the broader societal ecosystem.

The project must demonstrate a strong commitment to leveraging project management to drive notable change, address critical social challenges, and place social impact at the core of its business model.

Nextgen Professionnal of the Year

This category recognizes project managers with three to eight years of experience in the field. These professionals stand out for their dedication, impact, and leadership potential, and are regarded by their peers as the next generation of leaders. With this award, PMI-Montréal highlights the talent of emerging project managers and proudly supports their professional journey.
