Where project and program managers are responsible for “doing work right,” this is an ideal credential if you are responsible for ensuring your organization is “doing the right work.”

Yvan Petit who was among the first 100 PfMP in the world will explain the PfMP credentials, requirements, and evaluation process. This presentation will also be an excellent opportunity to obtain more information on the upcoming PfMP exam preparation course that will be offered by PMI-Montreal.

Speaker:

Yvan Petit holds a Bachelor's degree in physics engineering and a Masters degree in electrical engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal as well as an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France). In Sept. 2011m as part of the joint PhD program in administration at UQÀM, he defended his thesis entitled: “Project Portfolio Management in Dynamic Environments: Organizing for Uncertainty”. He brings more than 25 years of experience as a project manager in the field of telecommunications and software development including the management of R & D large multinational projects. A polyglot, he worked several years abroad: in England, Sweden and Singapore. He is a member of the order of engineers of Quebec since 1981, Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2001 and Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) since 2014. Yvan Petit is a professor in the postgraduate program in project management at ESG-UQAM. His research interests focus on the management of project portfolios, the management of uncertainty in projects and “Scaling agility”. He is an instructor for PMI-Montreal (PMP exam preparation) since 2010.
