Hugues Lacroix is President of Lacroix Groupe Conseil Inc., a consulting firm specialized in governance and strategic management for SME’s & NFPO. Known for his training and communicating skills, he excels in working along entrepreneurs, financial and strategic partners within SME’s, setting up efficient boards of directors (or advisory committee) and improving their abilities to create value for shareholders and partners.
Until 2009, he worked at the Fonds de Solidarité QFL, Quebec’s largest venture capital fund where he ended as Investment Vice-President responsible for the buy-out investment division. Before joining the Fonds, he held senior management positions in various retail, real estate, distribution and consulting organisations. He possesses a vast expertise in governance, strategic planning and corporate finance. In addition to managing many governance-related mandates, Mr. Lacroix currently contributes on the boards of many of his clients. In this field, he has over 30 years of experience in various roles as director for more than 30 organisations such as Labrie Environmental Group inc., Spectra Premium Industries inc. and Manac inc., as well as serving on the boards of many public, private and not-for-profit organisations. He currently sits on the advisory committee of SécurFinance and Touchette Distribution as well as the board of CPA Sans Frontières – Canada.
In this role he acted either as director, committee chair, board chair or consultant, depending on the organisational needs. In addition to being a CPA-CA and EMBA, he is a Certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).
