Description

Adel Francis, ing., MGP, Ph.D

Mr. Francis is an Associate Professor in the planning and computer management systems since 2009 in the Department of Construction Engineering of the École de Technologie Supérieure , University of Quebec.
He possesses a BSc in Civil Engineering (1982) from the University of Alexandria (Egypt), a Project Management Master degree (1992) Senghor University (Egypt) and a Ph.D. (2004) from the École de Technologie Supérieure, University of Quebec, in planning and IT management.

His areas of research are focused on visualization, optimization and graphical modeling of project planning. The last fifteen years were primarily dedicated to the study, analysis, development and implementation of a Chronographic modeling approach for construction operation planning. In these areas Mr. Francis has developed several applications, has publications, attending conferences and regularly acted as speaker.

In addition, He has 30 years of experience with several multidisciplinary teams in which he has developed strategies and implemented integrated project management systems, planned and executed schedules, made the cost controls and monitoring of projects and performed risk analysis and value analysis.

During his career Mr. Francis worked for ministries, consultants and contractors. He managed construction projects, prepared tender documents, bid analysis, acts as bidders, managed contracts and audited various stages of projects while ensuring identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive measures. He participated in the estimation of several projects, achieve the opportunity and feasibility as well as financial and economic analysis studies.
