PMI-Montreal offers numerous services to assist professionals interested joining the project management community in Quebec.

PMI-Montreal’s site is the best reference for detailed information about each service. We have included a list of the main services offers and the reasons they are opportunities not to be missed.

« Thanks to PMI-Montreal I obtained my first job in the Project Management field. It was at a Corporate Evening event that I've met the person who, a few months later, would take me to an interview in the company I am currently working. I would say that it is the combination of various factors that produced this outcome. I was involved in different activities as a volunteer, which gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the industry who advised me. Last but not the least, I participated in the mentoring program and I had established a goal with my mentor: to find a job in the Project Management field. This goal was achieved because we treated this as a project since the beginning, with well defined scope and schedule. » (Lyubka Stoykova)

PMI-Montreal’s mentoring programs are particularly interesting for the new members of the project management community in Quebec. These programs allow participants to benefit from the experience of a mentor in a structured and rich environment.

PMI-Montreal offers three (3) adapted mentoring programs:

  • The Professional Mentoring Program targets project management professionals with at least five (5) years of experience;
  • The Young Professional Mentoring Program targets project management professionals with less than five (5) years of experience;
  • The Academic Mentoring Program targets students who are pursuing an internship in project management.

A mentor’s coaching will allow you to accelerate your professional advancement and quickly develop your personal and interpersonal competencies. If you are interested in perfecting your project management knowledge within the context of a mentoring relationship you can expect to receive advice, interact with someone who listens to your concerns and receive the support necessary for the development of your career.

This personalized mentoring focuses on the confidential exchange between you and the mentor and is based on meeting your defined objectives; it allows you to evolve your perceptions and to open yourself to new perspectives.

PMI-Montreal provides supervision, using monitored and reference materials on relevant topics to the evolution of the mentoring relationship. Meetings are also held to discuss the respective experiences of the participants and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
