Over the past decade, the role of the project manager has profoundly changed. Scopes are blurring, deadlines are compressing, stakeholders are multiplying, and AI is reshaping the landscape. In this context of uncertainty, traditional approaches remain necessary, but they have reached their limits.

Le Vortex offers a different answer. Developed with UQAM and tested by 1,000+ managers and executives, and applied to strategic projects across 120 organizations, this collective intelligence tool shifts the center of gravity: rather than chasing a solution to a shifting problem, it invites you to focus on your intention—the intersection of what you must do, what you can do, and what you want to do.

This mindset is a game-changer in change management: it makes it possible to stay the course without rigidity, align teams on what matters, and keep them in action. In highly uncertain projects, it provides a decision-making anchor where traditional tools mostly generate anxiety.

The day is entirely experiential. Each participant arrives with a real challenge—a strained project, a change to steer, a team to align—and works on it all day through three angles: what they are experiencing, what their stakeholders expect, and what the context demands of them. Upon leaving, they possess an immediately applicable tool and a first concrete application.

Edouard Le Maréchal
A graduate of ESSEC Business School with a specialization in "innovation strategy" and certified in Creative Problem Solving, Edouard Le Maréchal founded Tangenciels in 1996 based on three core areas of expertise: innovation, foresight, and emerging usages.

He supports companies and government bodies in France and Quebec, working directly with Executive Management, Strategy Departments, and R&D. Over the past decade, he has guided around one hundred innovation, transformation, and intrapreneurship projects.

He is the co-creator of Le Vortex, a decision-support tool for resolving complex situations, developed with the contribution of UQAM. Le Vortex is now taught in Executive MBA and Master's in Project Management programs.

Edouard teaches initial and continuing education courses at HEC Paris, ESG (Montreal), and CNAM (Paris). He is the author of academic articles, podcasts, and books on new innovation models.
