2025 Review, Looking Ahead to 2026
Hello everyone,
The end of the year is always a valuable moment to step back and reflect. For me, 2025 has been a particularly meaningful year: after nearly twenty years of involvement with the chapter, I had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Board of Directors.
This role has given me an even deeper perspective on the true strength of PMI-Montréal: a Board made up of dedicated and rigorous directors, a strong and constantly evolving permanent team, and a community of volunteers who advance the profession with passion.
Volunteer Engagement
Over the past months, our chapter has continued to deliver tangible value to its members: unifying events such as RDV Innovation, RDV Évolution, and RDV Élixir; a training offering that has been strengthened and is now well recognized in the market; and a richer-than-ever 2025 program, representing a record number of PDUs offered to our members. Volunteer engagement is also growing significantly, with a community that continues to expand and become more structured.
A Growing Community
One milestone clearly illustrates this momentum: we have surpassed 7,500 members, positioning PMI-Montréal as the third-largest chapter in the world. This is more than just a number—it is proof that our value proposition truly resonates.
At a time when PMI is transforming its membership model, the hybrid and virtual formats of some of our activities now allow us to better serve members across Quebec. Inclusion and accessibility are becoming a reality.
International Recognition
On the international stage, my conversations with leaders from other chapters in Canada, the United States, Francophone chapters, and PMI Global all confirm one thing: PMI-Montréal is often seen as a benchmark.
I was even told that our chapter acts like a sun for others—a metaphor that makes me smile and brings warmth, especially in winter (a nod to my Brazilian roots).
An Ambitious Transformation
PMI is undergoing a transformation. Our chapter is as well. We are approaching 2026 with energy, ambition, and a program already filled with exciting opportunities, including our annual symposium—an outstanding event that I am very much looking forward to.
At the heart of it all, I firmly believe that members are our top priority. My role, and that of the Board, is to ensure that every decision helps equip, inspire, and connect you even more.
In this context of transformation, your needs and feedback continue to shape our thinking and guide our actions.
On that note, I wish you a wonderful holiday season—a well-deserved time to rest and recharge. I look forward to continuing this collective journey with you.
I hope to see you very soon!
