Following the keynote address by Brian Weiss, Vice President, Practitioner Markets, PMI International, who will present the next generation of project managers, Carl Desrosiers, CEO of the Société de transport de Montreal (STM) will discuss major projects that will enable the STM to increase its performance and access the global top 10 in a lecture entitled "The STM: a world leader in its field?". Participants will then be invited to attend four conferences electives from the twenty offered, grouped into five basic themes of project management: Leadership, Stakeholders, Change Management, Talent Management, and for the first time this year, Ethics.

"Following the many revelations of the Charbonneau Commission, we wanted to put forward the best practices that have helped develop Quebec's expertise in the field of project management. Certainly, the challenges are great, but project managers, who are trained and use recognized methods, have mastered the rules to meet the continually growing expectations of the most successful organizations, "said Benoît Lalonde, President of PMI-Montreal.

Each session will be facilitated by one or more industry experts and aims to promote the sharing of knowledge and encourage reflection. For example, participants will discover the results of research on ethics in project management led by Caroline Coulombe, Professor, Department of Management and Technology, School of Management Sciences (ESG UQAM), or investigating how organizations can create management tools to deal with a crisis like the one in Lac Mégantic through the reflections of Marie-Christine Therrien, Associate professor at the National School of Public Administration, and learning more on stakeholder management through negotiation and cooperation based on the experience of Nicolas Marion, Assistant technical director at Cirque du Soleil. The day will conclude with a talk on how Google implements its culture of continuous innovation and makes bold wagers on the future presented by Nectarios Economakis.
