« It is with great enthusiasm that I join this prestigious organization to promote the profession of project management within the various communities. I would like to thank the members of the board of directors for their trust, and the permanent staff as well as the volunteers for their warm welcome.

I have at heart the mission of the organization, which advocates and promotes excellence in project management practices, and I am committed to ensuring the satisfaction and representation of our members, so that the profession remains anchored in the reality and current needs of our society. »

- Catherine Laramée, CHRP CFRE, Executive Director of PMI-Montreal

With over 15 years of experience in multidisciplinary management positions in a variety of industries, she brings a rich array of expertise, particularly in strategic, financial, operational and human resources management. As part of her mandate, she will be ensuring the organization's financial sustainability, while overseeing the development of the training and networking activities necessary to maintain the growth and skills development of our members.

Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA), holder of a Certified Fundraising Executive certification in philanthropy, with a bachelor's degree in business administration from HEC Montréal and training in NPO governance from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés, Catherine stands out for her strengths in financial development, process optimization, political and strategic skills and stakeholder mobilization, thanks in particular to a vast experience with volunteer communities, multidisciplinary work teams and financial partners.

Formerly at The YMCAs of Quebec Foundation, as Interim Vice-President and Senior Director of Philanthropy, she contributed to the success of several major fundraising campaigns and events, notably by mobilizing volunteers, teams and partners, and by deploying a creative and strategic vision of philanthropy within the Greater Montreal and Capitale-Nationale markets. Her expertise is recognized by her peers, notably as winner of the North American YMCA Award for Excellence in Strategic Collaboration in 2024.

As an active leader in her community, she co-founded, in 2011, with peers an event of young profesionnals to benefit cancer research at the Institut du cancer de Montréal. In 2014, she joined the organization as Philanthropic Director after a rich 6-year experience as Human Resources Director at Groupe Sportscene. She has also served on the board of ANIMA-Québec and is a mentor in professional philanthropic associations.

« It is with great enthusiasm that the board of directors joins me in welcoming Catherine Laramée to the helm of PMI-Montréal, to lead our association of nearly 6,000 members in project management, and to accompany our community of volunteers and staff towards the success of our mission. Recognized for her solid expertise in NPO management, her great capacity for action and her mobilizing leadership, her arrival at PMI- Montreal is certainly a significant asset in the context of the rapid expansion of the project management field and the development of strategic partnerships with community players.

We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to Karyn Thibault for her double commitment over the last few months during this transition period. We look forward to seeing you at our events to promote project management and introduce you to Catherine, in particular at our Cocktail de la rentrée on September 26. »
