*** IMPORTANT: This course is 100% virtual. We will be using zoom reunion mode, a webcam and microphone will be needed from all participants. ***

The course is offered as a live broadcast. The videos will be saved as the course progresses and you will have access to these recordings for up to two months following the last course (videos expire on January 24th, 2022). If you use agile practices in your projects, or your organization is adopting agile approaches to project management, the PMI-ACP® certification may be right for you. The PMI-ACP® recognizes knowledge of agile principles, practices and tools and techniques across agile methodologies.

Who should apply?  
If you are working in organizations using agile to manage projects, the PMI-ACP® can provide an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of agile practices. The PMI-ACP® is not limited to project managers or Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential holders; individuals with experience working on agile project teams can apply.  


Practitioners who are seeking to:

  • Demonstrate to employers their level of professionalism in agile practices of project management
  • Increase their professional versatility in both Waterfall and agile techniques
  • Hold a certification that is more credible than existing entry-level, training or exam-only based offering

PMI-ACP® Requirements:  
To apply for the PMI-ACP® exam, you need to meet the following requirements:  
- At least 2,000 hours of project management experience, within the last five years  
- At least 1,500 hours of agile project management experience, within the last three years  
- 21 hours of training in agile practices *   the course offered by PMI-Montreal fulfills this requirement

  • PMI-ACP course material
    The PMI-ACP course material is included for all participants registered in the course. The course material contains the material that will be covered during the lessons as well as practice questions and simulation exam. *In person: Both training manuals will be given to all participants at the start of the first course. *Online: Two weeks before the start of the course, you will receive an email to confirm your mailing address for the delivery of the training manuals.
  • PMI-ACP Exam Prep manual
    The PMI-ACP Exam Prep manual is included for all participants registered for the course. This additional manual contains material that will be covered in class as well as exercises and review questions.
  • Language Material
    It is important to note that the provided training material is in English only to facilitate learning of international project management terminology.

Exclusions

  • PMI and PMI-Montreal Membership
    PMI and PMI-Montreal Membership are at an additional cost of US $ 129 and US $ 30 respectively. To become a member of PMI-Montreal, you must first be a member of PMI. The membership is not required to take the course, but it does allow you to get a member discount when you register for the PMI-ACP preparation course. To become a member, you must apply directly on the PMI.org website under the Membership tab, then Become a member. Make sure you choose the Montreal chapter towards the end of the transaction to become a member of PMI-Montreal as well.
  • Agile Practice Guide Manual
    The Agile Practice Guide manual is not included in the price of the course. We advise participants to obtain this manual. PMI members can download the Agile Practice Guide manual free of charge from the PMI Library of Global Standards website. We strongly suggest that all participants read the manual before the course, but it is not necessary to have it with you during the course.
  • PMI-ACP Exam Fees
    The exam fees are not included in the course cost. The process of applying for the exam must be done individually through the PMI.org website. The cost of the PMI-ACP exam is US $ 435 for members or US $ 495 for non-members. A participant has three chances to pass the exam during their year of eligibility. The cost for the second and third attempt is US $ 335 for members and US $ 395 for non-members each. The payment of the exam fee is made directly to PMI.org.
