Description
Artificial intelligence is now at the heart of our projects… bringing its share of successes, surprises, and at times, disillusionment. For this latest meeting of PMI-Montréal’s AI Circle, we are offering an activity centered on real-world feedback from practitioners.
Which AI uses or initiatives have truly generated value in your projects? Which lessons proved more complex than expected, or even counterproductive? What errors, biases, or blind spots have you encountered that you would like to avoid in the future?
In a participatory and supportive format, we will highlight both the wins and the missteps to collectively establish practical benchmarks for integrating AI in a responsible, effective, and sustainable way within project management.
On the agenda:
-
Case studies
-
Breakout group discussions
-
Sharing of lessons learned
-
Review of the main pitfalls to avoid
Come enrich our collective reflection, nurture your practice as a project manager, and contribute to a more mature use of AI within our community.
OBJECTIVE
Join the conversation to identify—based on your concrete experiences—the best practices, limitations, and primary risks associated with using artificial intelligence in a project management context.
Participants will learn to recognize the conditions for success (governance, data quality, change management), analyze potential impacts on project performance (decision-making, timelines, costs, quality, stakeholders), and spot possible biases, traps, and pitfalls (lack of business needs analysis, over-reliance on tools, lack of transparency, cognitive biases, ethical issues).
By the end of the activity, attendees will be better equipped to oversee and structure the integration of AI into their professional practices, supporting a responsible and sustainable use aligned with PMI best practices.
