OBJECTIVE

Present the « Panera » case as a case of implementation of Disciplined Agile in a non-IT context.

 

DESCRIPTION

The conference will present the "Panera” case of implementation of Disciplined Agile. This bakery chain based in the U.S.A. successfully rolled out DA in order to improve its business agility and we’ll see everything that was done to achieve the positive results.

The presentation is composed of two parts: at noon, we’ll present the organization, its background, what let them to adopt Disciplined Agile and how they’ve done it. In the second part, in the evening, the same participants will discuss the case, lessons learned and will also have the opportunity to share their experience and present their own scenario to be discussed.

1st part @ 12 p.m.:  Presentation of the Panera case (background, timeline of significant events, adoption of Disciplined Agile)

2nd part @ 6 p.m.: Discussion about the Panera case and exchange about learnings, other real scenarios from the audience, choosing your WoW (group and sub-group discussions)

 

Participants will be asked to join both sessions to have the full content and to attend the 2nd part (evening), it will be required to have attended the 1st part (noon).

Alcides Santopietro has 20 years of experience managing international projects in IT, engineering and aviation sectors, having worked in projects in over 10 different countries. His career includes managing a portfolio of transformational projects for a Swiss organization where he also worked as VP of Operations, Canada. Mentor and trainer, Alcides has been a PMI member since 2002 and is an active volunteer of PMI-Montreal since 2007, where he also acted as the VP of the board (2018-2020) and is currently its Disciplined Agile Chapter Champion. Originally from Brazil, he lives in Quebec since 2007.
