Note that PMI-Montréal filed a report with the Commission on June 18, 2014. Believing that its expertise could contribute to the fight against corruption and collusion, the organization produced a series of recommendations to help minimize the risk of misconduct and abuse in the management of public projects. PMI will release its remarks on the Commission’s report within the next few days.

Transparency, breaking down silos, the presence of a project manager, the creation of a centralized database, intelligent risk management, and the revision of practices for awarding contracts were some of the solutions studied in this memorandum. In total, PMI-Montréal identified six issues and proposed eight recommendations.

The memorandum was signed by PMI-Montréal’s President, Benoît Lalonde, and approved by all of the members of PMI-Montréal’ Board of Directors, including Jean-Michaël Breton, Executive Vice President, Patrick Perras, Treasurer, Benoit De Grâce, Vice President of Business Development, and Alejandro Romero Torres and Sylvie Prud’homme, Administrators. It was also approved by the members of the Board of Governors, including Roger Croteau, Clément Demers, Pierre Ménard, Martin Sheehan, and Lucie Tremblay.
