WHO WE ARE
The Chambre de l’assurance is mandated to ensure a high level of public protection by providing strong oversight of the insurance and financial planning sector. It ensures the professional ethics, discipline, and continuing education (except for financial planning) of its members.
The Chambre de l’assurance was created in summer 2025 through the merger of two organizations: the Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF) and the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (ChAD).
 
POSITION CONTEXT
As part of the transition toward a renewed organizational model, particularly following the merger of CSF and ChAD functions, the Chambre de l’assurance is establishing an Organizational Transition and Strategic Projects Office (OTSP Office).
Based on objectives defined by the CEO and Executive Committee, this office aims to ensure rigorous coordination, strategic alignment, and strong support for teams during all organizational changes.

Supporting the Head of the Organizational Transition and Strategic Projects Office, the Strategic Project Manager actively contributes to the success of major strategic initiatives shaping the future of the organization.
The role plays a central part in planning, coordinating, and monitoring a portfolio of projects, while also contributing to the deployment and harmonization of project management practices across the organization.
 
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead and coordinate strategic projects
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects included in the organizational roadmap (merger, digital transformation, review and deployment of new processes).

  • Draft and maintain project charters (objectives, deliverables, schedule, budget, and performance indicators).

  • Identify and anticipate project risks and cross-functional challenges and propose mitigation plans.

 
2. Deploy and harmonize project management best practices
  • Contribute to the development of an organizational project management maturity plan.

  • Establish a common organizational language and harmonized project management practices (guides and toolkits).

  • Coach managers to adopt a more active role in defining, deciding, and monitoring projects.

  • Support project sponsors in identifying needs, benefits, and impacts (Business Case development).

 
3. Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to strengthen collaboration between teams.

  • Promote a culture of innovation, agility, and collaboration.

  • Contribute to the maturity of the OTSP Office by sharing lessons learned and best practices.

  • Facilitate practical workshops on modern best practices (agility, governance, roles, collaboration, cross-functional work).

  • Monitor emerging best practices in project management.

 
YOUR EXPERTISE
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Project Management or a related field
    (Graduate degree in Project Management or Management: an asset).

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement approaches: Lean, Six Sigma (asset).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including advanced Excel.

  • Experience with collaboration and project management platforms: Miro, Asana, Jira, etc.

  • Familiarity with AI tools.

  • Ability to understand user expectations and translate needs into concrete solutions.
