Description

At Adsum, you do more than simply “follow” projects—you help our clients deliver value.
Adsum Groupe Conseil is a human-sized consulting firm experiencing strong growth in Montréal. We work on niche mandates for clients primarily in financial services, transportation, energy, and healthcare.
Our ambition: to accelerate our clients’ execution performance (projects, programs, portfolios) through robust governance, informed decision-making, and a results-driven culture.

Your Role
Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will lead one or more mandates where you play a key role as a PCO / PPM Expert. You structure execution, secure performance (costs, risks, schedules), and equip governance bodies (Board of Directors / Executive Committees / Project Committees) with reliable, actionable information.
You will be coached and supported by the Managing Partner—this is true consulting work with a steep learning curve. Relationship management is just as important as technical expertise.

A Concrete Overview of Your Contribution

1) Project / Program Delivery (PCO)
  • Support the Project Manager and team in developing and updating the project/program plan (deliverables, milestones, dependencies);

  • Monitor progress, analyze variances, and provide recommendations (corrective actions, trade-offs, replanning);

  • Manage change (impact analysis, plans, communications, adoption).

2) Governance, Reporting, and Dashboards
  • Maintain and analyze risk and issue registers; propose mitigation measures;

  • Design and maintain dashboards and progress reports tailored to decision-making bodies (Board, Executive Committee, Project Committee);

  • Produce clear executive summaries: decisions required, options, impacts, and recommendations.

3) Financial Tracking, Vendors, and Performance
  • Track costs (including internal and external vendors) in alignment with estimates, forecasts, and plans;

  • Produce and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to progress reporting (value delivered, deviations, trends).

4) Coordination, Capacity, and Collaboration
  • Ensure strong stakeholder coordination to maintain flow, alignment, and efficiency across projects/programs;

  • Implement capacity analysis tools and contribute to workload and deliverables management;

  • Create communication tools to better track and advance project progress.

5) Continuous Improvement (PMO / PPM)
  • Define and evolve best practices, processes, and policies for project and portfolio management (aligned with strategy);

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (rigor, information quality, standards compliance);

  • Develop templates and reference materials and support the implementation or clarification of PMO roles;

  • Coach employees on methods and practices.

6) Business Development (as needed)
  • Participate in proposals and contribute to analytical and design deliverables (creation, repositioning, or optimization of PMOs; strategy implementation).

Desired Profile

What You Bring

  • Leadership, autonomy, political awareness, and the ability to influence without formal authority;

  • Comfort working with stakeholders at all levels (teams, managers, executive committees, Boards);

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree (MBA, MPM, etc.) with an excellent academic record;

  • Experience in PMO, PCO, or PPM roles;

  • Consulting firm experience is an asset.
