Job Summary

Reporting to the Service Head – Sustainable Logistics & Event Operations, the Section Head – Event Management plays a strategic role in planning, coordinating, and managing the operational and logistical activities related to major park events.

The incumbent manages a team of Event Managers and Stage Operations Leads and works closely with park operational teams to plan and coordinate operations for both internally produced events and those organized by external promoters. They ensure the proper representation of management interests in projects and play a key role in planning and stakeholder alignment, contributing to the success of major sporting and cultural events.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Event Managers responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the operations required to host major event promoters at the Park or internally produced events (e.g., Formula 1 Grand Prix, Evenko concerts);
  • Supervise an internal park team responsible for stage operations (lighting, sound, staging, etc.);
  • Manage operational and logistical aspects of events as the primary point of contact with promoters, coordinating tasks across multidisciplinary teams within the Integrated Asset and Territory Management Directorate, while ensuring smooth communication with all stakeholders;
  • Oversee and monitor on-site interventions by promoters and their suppliers, track project progress, anticipate obstacles, identify risks, and propose appropriate solutions to ensure seamless operations;
  • Develop and implement sustainable optimization strategies to minimize the impact of events on the territory and its users, while promoting best environmental practices and the Park’s sustainable development;
  • Represent the Operations Directorate in meetings and follow-ups with partners, formulate joint recommendations with stakeholders, and support informed decision-making through an integrated approach;
  • Foster collaboration and mobilize the resources required to deliver events, encouraging synergy among various areas of expertise to ensure event success;
  • Manage timelines and objectives, proactively monitor work progress, and ensure continuous improvement of operational processes while identifying optimization opportunities;
  • Document operations, prepare performance reports and post-event reviews to evaluate and improve processes, and prepare and facilitate committee meetings to ensure smooth coordination among stakeholders. Also contribute to drafting calls for tenders related to projects;
  • Maintain a 360-degree view of events by informing all relevant stakeholders and ensuring the involvement of all required specialties in recommendations, guaranteeing a comprehensive and integrated approach;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; any other relevant combination of education and experience will be considered;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management, ideally coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a similar environment;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and other relevant project planning and coordination software;
  • Prior experience in contract management for projects and construction work, particularly in the public sector, is highly desirable;
  • Membership in a relevant professional order (e.g., engineer, project manager) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of building and infrastructure standards related to sustainable development is a significant asset;
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset;
  • Experience in event management is an asset.

Conditions

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
The salary range for the position is $96,068 to $120,084.
