Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of projects in a portfolio and will play a key role in maintaining relationships with stakeholders at the strategic and non-operational level. In addition, the incumbent will develop and monitor projects on an ongoing basis to ensure that the project management office brings value to the organization. 

Project management 

  • Contribute to the development of all documentation, build business cases, complete project plans (including schedules, milestones, responsibilities, success factors, risk assessments, success measures and objectives, management plan changes, etc.) in order to structure successful projects.
  • Manage all aspects of a project cycle through to completion on time, on budget and on plan; assist in tracking and reporting to management on overall project status (e.g. budget, scope, schedule); and conduct post-mortems for continuous improvement of project management practices.

Trusted expert 

  • Act as a project management expert; contribute to the development of the project culture within the organization; share knowledge and best practices to ensure project teams have sufficient knowledge to continue projects; and drive accountability and results.

Engage cross-sector partners and stakeholders 

  • Work collaboratively across departments to initiate projects; define processes and gather relevant documentation; resolve and communicate issues; and facilitate resolution with key stakeholders.

Team orientation 

  • Effectively define and communicate expectations and objectives to project team members and stakeholders; lead, guide and liaise with project team members and stakeholders on an ongoing basis.


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management,
  • IT project management experience,
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, an MBA considered an asset,
  • PMP certification an asset,
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with best practices in project and change management methodology,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages at the CBC level for the second language. For more information, visit:
