Gecko Alliance is a manufacturer and distributor of electronic controls primarily for the spa industry. Working with our customers from design to production, we offer them customized, innovative solutions for their spas: state-of-the-art control systems, keypads, pumps and accessories. We've been building long-term relationships with our customers for 30 years. 

To complement our new Project Office team, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager. The main mission of this person will be to guide our internal partners through change by supporting them in the implementation of good project management practices.

 

This person will be assigned projects that he/she will have to coordinate from "end to end" in a balanced matrix environment.


Tasks and responsibilities :

Project management :
Take charge of planning and orchestrating the implementation of corporate projects, ensuring that objectives and deadlines are met;

  • Define project mandate with assigned collaborators;
  • Define project attributes (time, resources, budget, risk management, etc.);
  • Ensure complete documentation of project stages;
  • Raise issues that impact project success and propose action plans to the management team;

Project performance monitoring :
Analyze and rigorously monitor project performance, including variances between planning and reality;

  • Prepare reports, indicators and other project monitoring and control elements;
  • Document and evaluate change requests, considering their impact;
  • Effectively and visibly communicate project progress to stakeholders stakeholders;

Change agent :

  • Inform and guide employees on best practices in project management;
  • Instill rigor in participants in the execution of their tasks;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Gecko's methodology, tools and management process and monitoring models.


Profile required:
On a technical level, the ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years' experience in managing multiple in the manufacturing sector. He/she will also have already been involved in project management for product development (software, electronics, mechanical). In addition, this person must be able to communicate effectively with English-speaking colleagues.

On a personal level, our future project manager must be able to demonstrate leadership influence to motivate and rally colleagues to the success of projects. He or she must be ability to work in an environment with competing priorities, multiple stakeholders and the
take the initiative to implement solutions. Finally, the ideal candidate must be highly adaptable and able to pivot projects/initiatives according to the needs and priorities.

 

If you possess any of the following skills, these will be considered assets interesting :

  • Relevant university education;
  • Experience in manufacturing and software products;
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) certification.

Workplace: The position is located at the head office in Quebec City and requires a minimum of at least 3 days/week.
