The golden rules of political sense and strategic influence in Project Management

The maximal number of attendees for this course has been reached.

Organizations undergo major changes through increasingly complex processes when it comes to influence, transparency and decision-making.

In light of this, it’s essential that project leaders develop their strategic influencing skills to understand issues and satisfy the numerous stakeholders involved in their projects.

The conference/workshop will be lively and interactive, with dialogue led by a seasoned project leader and leadership practitioner Jean Martel from SNC Lavalin. Discussions will focus on implementing best practices as a project leader to assert your leadership:

  • Adequately assessing a situation to make the right decisions
  • Observing distribution of power and influence, independently from hierarchical power and organizational charts
  • Clarifying your legitimacy and mandate
  • Decoding stakeholders’ informal messages and issues
  • Building complicity with key actors
  • Communicating strategically
