PMI International will confirm your eligibility within 10 business days.

Payment

Pay (225$ US) and schedule your exam on your preferred date with Prometric. You have one year after your eligibility is confirmed.

Exam

Complete the 3-hour, 150-question CAPM® exam (multiple choice) available in 10 languages (including French). The passing grade is 66%. When the candidate achieves this score or higher they automatically become a CAPM!

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) offers a project management certification program called the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®). PMI oversees the development, evaluation, update, promotion and administration of this rigorous certification program that involves an examination of the highest caliber.

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) program is recognized and highly valued by the international community of professionals in project management. The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) certification is aimed at professionals looking to demonstrate a basic knowledge of project management standards and terminology. The CAPM® exam is based solely on material from the PMBOK.

In order to be eligible for the CAPM® exam, you must fulfill one of the following two criteria.

Either 1,500 hours of project management work experience

OR

23 hours of formal project management training.

PMI-Montreal offers preparation courses that fulfill the 23 hour formal training requirement.  These courses are offered three times a year with varied schedule formats. 

Course Schedules and Registration

The CAPM® certification expires after 5 years and there is no renewal process.
